baby a | Staunton, VA. Photography

This session was really special.

Mr. A's parents are our neighbors.  They have been wishing and hoping for him for so long and about a month ago he made his grand entrance!  He's the most expressive baby I have ever seen!  The faces he makes, it's just absolutely incredible.  Needless to say, his faces made for some very sweet pictures.  I've really enjoyed my time with him, and his mommy and I are planning a costume session in honor of Halloween!  I'm super excited.

Here are some pictures from the session, enjoy :)

Until next time,

A beautiful occasion. | Verona, VA. Photography

Hello everyone!  Wow, it's been awhile!  Alot has happened for Miscellaneous Media Photography since we last met.  But that is for another post :)

This month I had the pleasure of photographing my friend Angie's wedding.  I've known her since high school and she has been incredibly supportive of and helpful to my little business.  She is so sweet and her wedding was absolutely beautiful.  It was the most relaxed wedding I've ever seen.  The reception was the week after and was an absolute blast!

I hope you all enjoy the pictures from these special occasions!

Aren't they a cute couple?!  Absolutely adorable.  I love them.

Ok, now things get super busy (as if they weren't already ;) for me!  Newborn session tomorrow, and sessions every week this month!  There will be lots of blog updates (I promise!)  So stay tuned.

Exciting Times | Virginia Photographer

Two weeks ago, my fiance and I had the rare opportunity to pack up and get away for a day.  We spent some time far out in nature, away from everyone and it was pure bliss.  Short lived, but pure bliss.  Here is one of my favorite shots from that day:

OK...back to business.  Starting this weekend, things get crazy, exciting, and crazy exciting for Miscellaneous Media Photography!  Both this weekend and next are booked with wedding events, which I am just SO thrilled for.  Stay tuned for fun shots from both events in the coming weeks!  And then, I am happy to announce I am partnering with a retail store for some commercial photos that will be used for publicity for them.  September is shaping up to be my a fantastic month!  But don't worry, there are still available session dates for portraits, just contact me (lindseyswalters@gmail.com) for details.

I hope everyone has a fabulous rest of the week and weekend!

SNEAK PEEK: .p&l. : couples | Staunton, VA. Photography

This session was so fun. P&L are friends of mine and my fiance, and whenever they come into town we always make it a point to grab a drink and catch up.  They recently got married and wanted some fun couples portraits as a new married couple, and I had an absolute blast shooting these pictures for them.

Hope everyone has a great week!

Introducing: Customized Fine Art Name Prints!

Hi everyone!  I hope you all have had a fabulous week so far.  I have been enjoying some much needed time off from performing.  Our show closes this weekend and I already have sessions lined up so check back for some new head shots and couples portraits sometime next week!

I wanted to share a new product with you that I just began working on: customized fine art prints!  A friend of mine commissioned me to shoot and print one for her last week, and I am absolutely in love with the result.  These prints are a fantastic and unique gift for any occasion: wedding, anniversary, house warming, birth, etc, and can also be used in print products for birth announcements, birthdays, save the dates, etc.  You can customize just about everything about them: your name (of course ;), any text you want to include, the font and color of the text, the background color, etc.  I have a set of letters that I use but if you have something else that you really want I can also customize that for you.

Here is an example:

Contact me at lindseyswalters@gmail.com to begin customization of your very own fine art print!  Prices of prints (unframed) start at $20.

In other news, there are some really fantastic things coming up for Miscellaneous Media Photography this fall, so stay tuned :)

Have a great rest of the week!

Where does the time go?

Wow, I can't believe it's August already!  It seems like just yesterday I was pulling my shorts and tank tops out from under my bed and preparing for warm weather.  This summer has been a really exciting and wonderful time for me and my business, and I want to thank all my fabulous customers for making that possible!  These next couple of weeks are going to be super crazy for me as the community theatre I'm involved with opens our first production in our new home!  But I'm looking forward to it.

I have some wonderful sessions already lined up for fall and I absolutely can't wait for them!  Now is the time to start booking: lindseyswalters@gmail.com.  I also have some fun new specials coming up so stay tuned for those.

I'll leave you with this picture I took mid-June of this year.  For me, it captures all things summer.  I'll really miss this beautiful season.

Introducing: The Refer a Friend Program!

Hi everyone!  I'm really excited to introduce my new Refer a Friend program!  Nothing warms my heart like hearing from a potential client that one of their friends recommended me.  I love my job and it means a lot to me that my clients suggest me to others.  So I thought, why not reward my clients for this act that means so much to me?  And here we are.

It's pretty simple.  You refer a friend, they book their session and mention your name, you get a $10 credit towards your next session fee, you refer as many friends as you want.  It's that simple!  There is no limit to the amount of friends that you can refer.

Happy Friday!  Have a great weekend!  -Lindsey

Senior Portrait Session: .h.

Tuesday's senior portrait session was really cool for me because .h. and I have been involved with the same community theatre for the past five years.  She was in the first production that I ever choreographed, and recently we've been cast in shows together.  She is one of the funniest people I know, and her and her family are so nice.  It was very poignant shooting these pictures for her, a senior, and remember that the first time I met her I was not much older than she is now.  Time sure does fly.
I hope you enjoy this sneak peek at some of her pictures.  I really am in love with how they turned out, I think you will be too!

Hope you have a fantastic weekend!  -Lindsey

a&f: kids

I did a child portrait session on Thursday and I have to say, it was one of my favorite to date.  You know when you use an expression like "that was the BEST food I have ever eaten in my entire life," and you mean to say that it was delicious to the point of noting but you aren't being literal in your description?  Ok, well, when I say that these two girls are some of the CUTEST that I have ever seen in my entire life, I'm not over exaggerating.  They were the sweetest most fun kids to be around.  I had an absolute blast hanging out with them, their mom, and their aunt.  And I think the pictures turned out pretty well too :)  We had lots of fun with a tea party,  a super fun necklace, and lot of running around! Enjoy :)

The view is nice...

Hi everyone!  I hope you all have had a fabulous week so far.  Mine has been busy, but productive.  Shot some amazing production photos Tuesday night.  (Perhaps once the theatre gives them the "ok" I'll post a few here? :)  Have a fun child/family portrait session lined up for this evening, so check back for those pictures later this weekend!

I was driving home from the theatre Saturday night and was struck by the amazing colors of the sunset.  So I just had to stop and take a picture :)  I hope you enjoy!

Busy weekend over, busy week begins!

I have no idea why the quality of the images in the post before is so bad.  I think it might have something to do with my internet being a little slow.  :(  Oh well, what can you do.

I had the busiest weekend I've had in awhile.  Between the end of semester performances of a theatre class I taught, and rehearsals for the production I'm choreographing/dancing in, I haven't had time to do much of anything!  And this week will be just as busy, I fear.  But with photography!  Yay!

Tonight I'm going to shoot some publicity photos for the aforementioned production, which will be really fun.  I'm looking forward to it.  Have a couple other things lined up for this week, so stay tuned :)

Happy Tuesday!

Summer Showers

I love summer weather.  So absolutely unpredictable.  Just when we thought we couldn't stand the heat anymore, in comes a torrential rain storm that absolutely drenched everything in sight.  Sadly, cameras do not do well in the rain :(  So I had to reschedule my portrait session for next week.

But since I do not like to go to long without posting, here are some pics from my yard I took last week that I just love.  I hope you enjoy them!  I have a busy week next week with some fun and new portrait sessions, I can't wait!

.a. : maternity session

On Sunday I had the pleasure of shooting some maternity portraits with my lovely neighbor.  She is one of the most beautiful pregnant women I have ever seen!  When people talk about someone having "the glow of pregnancy" she is the perfect example of that.  Chris and I love spending time with her and her husband so I was thrilled to get to take some shots for them.  Here are a few of my favorites!

I have a couples portrait session tonight that I'm super excited for so check back this week for a sneak peek at those shots!

Engagement Portraits

I took some Engagement portraits for this couple last September.  I went to school with both of them, and they are SUCH a cute couple.  Absolutely adorable to work with, and really fun.  I recently re-edited some of their pictures as a surprise for them, and here is what I came up with.

Another reason I wanted to post some shots of them is because I'm going to be shooting their wedding at the end of summer and I just CAN'T WAIT!
Have a great weekend!  Shooting some maternity pics tomorrow, so expect a sneak preview in the next couple of days!!

Summer Portraits

Hello everyone!  I don't know about where you live, but right now we are in the middle of a serious heat wave.  It's pretty ridiculous.  But I would take being hot and sweaty over being cold, so I guess I can't complain.

Just wanted to post a few pictures I took of my friend Liz last week.  She wanted some new head shots, and she is so much fun that the time just flew by.  Here are a few of my favorites. (You'll notice one of hers even made it onto my banner I liked it so much :)

I hope everyone has a fabulous rest of the week!  I am SO excited to shoot some maternity pics this weekend so look for those next week :)
